But they were killed because of their greed and unfamiliar wilderness
Two Englishmen got an information about gold on an island. They kill a Chinese man to get the map to reach the location. They use a canoe to reach the island. After a long journey, they arrived to their destination. They were afraid of the new location. They started to load the golds to take with them. But Evan’s arm start to ache. He fainted there. Before During his aching, Evans warned him to run from there. But Hooker continued packing the gold. At last, both of them died. In fact, Chang hi(Chinese Man) had used poison to cover the gold.
Theme: The story presents the theme of human greed. Human beings are driven by their inner greed. All people want quick change in their life. As a result, it destroys their life. Two Englishmen lost their life because of their greed for the treasure.
