Use been or gone.
Rule 1:
Been- It is used to describe complete visit. If you visit a place and the return back, it means you have been there.
Example-
Ram has been to China on holiday four times.
Rule 2: When you ask someone about their past experience use been.
Example-Have you ever been to Nepal?
Gone:
Rule:
It doesn’t describe complete visit. If you visit a place and didnt return back, it means you are still there.
Example: Friends have gone to Muktinath.

- Kalpana has …gone… to Korea. She may come back next year.
- A: Where’s Rachana? B: She has …gone… to the shops.
- Harina was here earlier but I think she has …gone… now.
