a. According to the author, what is marriage?

Answer: According to the author, it is a relationship where partners are linked by legal, moral, and conventional assumptions.

Answer: Marriage is an institution because it is culturally shaped and integrated with other basic social institutions such as education, business and politics.

c. What are the rules that a marriage has?

Answer: A marriage creates soft boundaries which the married couple have to follow.

Answer: Marriage matters to men because it provides structure to men’s life. It also controls male desires.

e. What is one of the central problems in modern society?

Answer: One of the central problems of modern society is the legitimate definition of desires such as happiness, comfort, luxury and prestige.

f. What does social capital consist of?

Answer: Social capital consists of a vast network of individuals bound by bonds of trust and trust.

g. What is normative marriage? Explain.

Answer: Normative marriage is a kind of marriage which is based on established norms and values. 

  Dimensions of normative marriage are:

Here are some general differences in marriage practices between various cultures:

In some cultures, multiple spouses are allowed, while in others, monogamy is the norm.

The role of marriage in forming family alliances and/or consolidating wealth and property is emphasized in some cultures, while love and companionship are more important in others.

Wedding ceremonies can vary greatly in length, formality, and religious significance, with some lasting several days and involving extensive rituals, while others may be brief and secular.

It’s worth noting that these differences are not limited to geographic regions and can exist within a single country as well.
