How to Write an Effective Email (NEB Class 12 Compulsory English)

 

What is Email?

Email means an electronic mail. It is the most useful way to communicate with  friends, family,customers,etc. It is the fastest way to convey our message. We can write an email in different ways like formal as well as informal.

 

Pro-Tips for an Effective Email Writing:

  • Don’t use Date
  • Write at left side of your page
  • Mention your reasons for writing the email
  • Clearly state your ideas
  • Use respectful tone
  • Short

Steps for an Effective Email Writing

Step 1: Subject at the Beginning

Step 2: Greeting/Salutation: Hi/Hello/Namaste/Dear Sir/Madam/Mam

Step 3: Body Part

Step 4: Your Signature

 

Sample:

To: ..……………………[email protected]…………………………(Recipient)

Cc: ………[email protected]…………….(Other recipients)…….(if you want to send the same email to others, you can use it)

 

Subject: ………………………………(write your reason for the email)…

Greeting/Salutation: .……………..Respected/Dear Sir/Mam/Madam

Main Body Part of your Email:

  • Introduction of your subject (Explain your subject)
  • Detail Explanation of your subject
  • Conclusion: Conclude your email

 

Closing line: Give thanks to your email reader

Attachments: Attach related documents for your subject

Signature : Provide your signature and phone number
