Speaking – 5 parts (~12 minutes total).

- PART 1 – Listen and answer (10 sec per answer • 4 questions)
You will hear four short questions. Answer each one. You have 10 seconds to speak.
- How old are you?
- What is your favourite season?
- How do you travel to work or school?
- What do you usually do in the evening?

Sample Answer:

Tip: Answer in 1–2 full sentences. “I am twenty-four years old. I live in Nepal.”
PART 2 – Listen and answer (longer) (20 sec per answer • 4 questions)
You have 20 seconds for each answer. Give a fuller response with a reason or example.
- What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
- Tell me about your best friend.
- What is your favourite place in your town or city? Why?
- Describe a skill you would like to learn.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books and listening to music. These activities help me relax and learn new things. - Tell me about your best friend.

My favourite place is the local park. It is peaceful and clean, and I enjoy walking there with my family in the evenings. - Describe a skill you would like to learn.
Sample Answer:
I would like to learn cooking because it is a useful life skill. I want to prepare healthy meals for my family and myself.
Tip: Use “because” to extend your answer. “I like the park because it is quiet and relaxing.”
PART 3 – Read aloud (10 sec per sentence • 4 sentences)
Read each sentence out loud. The app checks pronunciation and punctuation handling.
- The doctor will see the next patient in a few minutes.
- Please remember to bring your identification card tomorrow.
- My neighbour, Anita, works at the local health centre.
- Could you tell me where the nearest bus station is?
Tip: Pause briefly at commas and stop fully at full stops. Read the sentence once in your head first.
PART 4 – Read aloud (extended) (10 sec per sentence • 4 sentences)
Same format as Part 3, with slightly more complex sentences.
- Even though it was raining heavily, the workers completed the project on time.
- Employees who attend the training programme will receive a certificate of completion.
- The company plans to introduce several new services later this year.

PART 5 – Leave a message (40 sec to prepare • at least 1 min to speak)
Read the notes below. Prepare for 40 seconds, then leave a voice message of at least one minute.
Situation:
Your supervisor has asked you to contact Bright Care Supplies about medical products needed for your workplace.
You are calling to leave a message for the customer service team.
In your message:
- Say who you are and where you work.
• Explain which products you need and the quantity.
• Ask about the price and delivery schedule.
• Leave your contact number and mention when you are available.
Tip: Plan a beginning (who you are), middle (the order details), and end (your contact info). Use linking words: first, also, and finally.
Sample Answer:
Hello, my name is Ramesh Adhikari, and I am calling from Sunrise Care Centre.
We would like to order some medical supplies. We need 100 pairs of disposable gloves, 50 face masks, and 20 bottles of hand sanitiser for our staff and patients.
Could you please provide information about the total cost and the expected delivery schedule? We would appreciate receiving the items as soon as possible.
