Israel Opens 2,300 Caregiver Jobs for Nepali Workers Under G2G Program
The Government of Nepal has officially announced applications for 2,300 caregiver jobs in Israel under the Government-to-Government (G2G) labor agreement between Nepal and Israel. The recruitment process is being managed by the Department of Foreign Employment (DOFE), Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security.
Eligible Nepali citizens can apply online to work in Israel’s long-term care facilities as auxiliary workers caring for elderly people and persons with severe physical or mental disabilities.
The notice was published under Advertisement No. 01/82/83.

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
Age Limit
- Minimum: 25 years
- Maximum: 45 years
Physical Requirements
- Minimum height: 1.5 meters
- Minimum weight: 45 kilograms
Educational Qualification
Applicants must have either:
- Grade 10 pass with at least 15 months study in ANM or CMA-related subjects
OR
- 10+2 or equivalent qualification with at least 3 months caregiving training from a government-recognized institution
Important Restrictions
Applicants:
- must not have previously worked in Israel,
- must not have close family members living or working in Israel,
- must be physically and mentally healthy,
- must not suffer from chronic diseases,
- must not have criminal records,
- must not be involved in addiction.
The passport must remain valid for at least 3 years from the visa processing date.
Cambridge English Test Requirement
One of the most important requirements is the Cambridge Upskill English Test.

Selection Process
The recruitment process includes:
- Online Application Approval
Applications are checked through the FERMS system.
- Final Roster Preparation
Eligible applicants are included in the final list.
- PIBA Name Check
Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA) verifies applicants.
- Lottery Selection
Workers are selected through a lottery system.
- Medical Examination
Selected candidates must pass medical tests from approved hospitals.
- Employment Agreement and Visa
Selected workers sign employment contracts and complete visa processing.
First Phase and Reserve Pool
Among the selected candidates:
- 1,000 workers will be processed first
- Remaining 1,300 workers will be processed later according to Israel’s demand
Additional candidates will remain in a reserve pool for future recruitment.
Nature of Work in Israel
Selected workers will:
- care for elderly and disabled persons,
- assist with feeding,
- bathing,
- mobility support,
- hygiene,
- daily activities,
- medication assistance.
Work shifts will be decided by employers according to care center requirements.
Salary Deductions and Expenses
Workers must personally bear some expenses including:
- airfare,
- health insurance,
- medical examination,
- English test fee,
- orientation training,
- welfare fund contribution.
The English test fee is:
Rs. 5,000
Some monthly deductions in Israel may include:
- accommodation,
- food,
- health insurance,
- electricity and water,
- taxes.
Foreign Worker Savings Fund
Employers in Israel will deposit 12.5% of workers’ monthly salary into a special savings account.
Workers receive this amount after legally completing the contract and returning to Nepal.
If a worker stays illegally in Israel after the contract period, part or all of the savings may be confiscated according to Israeli law.
Mandatory Conditions for Workers
Selected workers:
- must leave Israel after contract completion,
- cannot work in sectors outside caregiving,
- must follow Israeli labor and health regulations,
- may need COVID-related health procedures,
- must attend orientation training before departure.
